If you were to post something that said, “So far, XXX dollars have been donated. We’ve spent YYY with three TV stations in this market and ZZZ with two stations in that market … ” it might inspire a higher degree of confidence in your prospective donors.
One more quick suggestion: I see Earl Pomeroy’s name (misspelled) on your list. That’s the kind of guy you need to hit. He’s made a lot of noise about how the Dem leadership needs to move on, and hinted, though not committed, that he may well change his yes vote to no. But the kicker is, the guy is in North Dakota. TV time is DIRT CHEAP, and his vote counts every bit as much as some guy in the Chicago suburbs, where TV buys are prohibitive.
Give us some evidence the money is being spent wisely (and I’m not saying it’s not – we just don’t have any basis on which to judge) and the checkbooks will open. I know mine would.

I sign up for all the town phone hall calls. What a joke, how very slick not to want to appear in person. Who do these guys think they are. Anyhow I also attend tea parties, blast faxs all day and make calls. We have the Traitor and lair in Chief, not my president that is for sure. He is undermining our constitutional rights and I only hope Americans Wise up and revolt against this healthcare takeover. Obama LIES….WHY ARE HIS LIES BEING IGNORED?
LIE #1- “You can keep your doctor and plan if you like it”. NOW Obama has said some “provisions were sneaked in that could PREVENT that from happening”…but he NEVER SAID HE WOULD REMOVE THOSE PROVISIONS OR STOP THEM AND HE IS STILL PUSHING THIS HORRENDOUS PLAN !!! WHY? Obama KNEW ALL ALONG what was IN THIS PLAN!!! There was NOTHING SNEAKED IN folks !!!! HE LIES !!!!
LIE #2- “The exchanges would be overseen by the same PRIVATE COMPANY that oversees the Federal Employees Health Care”. This is a TOTAL LIE, as they even said THEMSELVES that….it would be the “Office of Personnel Management”. This NEVER WAS a PRIVATE COMPANY! IT was ALWAYS A TOTAL GOV TAKE OVER from the GET GO ! Its actually “The US OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT” …..A GOVERNMENT ENTITY !!!! A DOT GOV WEBSITE !!!! NEVER A PRIVATE COMPANY! The government will threaten and strong arm insurance companies into these “contracts” and those who dont comply will be punished, with taxes, fines, over regulations, or shut down like the GM dealerships. They will KEEP the private names and CALL them “exchanges” but they will be TOTALLY RAN AND MANAGED AND CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND VIRTUALLY OWNED BY THEM! BEWARE….the “public option” was ALWAYS in this bill….A TAKE OVER IS A TAKE OVER!
LIE #3- “You will have the SAME healthcare plan as Congress and my family” said by Obama…..
This was ALWAYS A TOTAL LIE! There is NO POSSIBLE WAY Obama could EVER do this as the Congress has a VERY VERY Cadillac plan !! Its nearly 100% paid EVERYTHING FOR LIFE ! Obama KNEW better than this !!!! IT WAS ALWAYS A LIE….YOUR PLAN WILL NOT BE WHAT HE HAS !!!! IT WILL BE FAR FROM IT!!! It will be LESS than you have now if you have a plan. Additionally, ALL real health care plans cost as much as the amounts they give for that 40% tax !!! They ARE NOT TELLING YOU THIS! Anyone with ANY kind of decent plan will be subjected to this 40% tax! They are talking about the TOTAL COST of the plan, NOT the premiums you pay out, and most ALL Plans cost the amounts they are proposing! Additionally, the unions WONT be getting out of this tax…cause they will most likely be FORCED onto ObamaCare cause…the unions totally SUPPORT ObamaCare and ran ads for it! NOONE WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS BUT CONGRESS AND FEDS AND OBAMA AND HIS ADMIN…NOONE !!!

WHY would you PUNISH a health care plan that is “too good” if someone LIKES IT, HAS IT, AND IS PAYING FOR IT with a 40% Tax IF YOUR GOAL IS FOR EVERYONE TO HAVE “GOOD HEALTH CARE”? If that is YOUR GOAL you should be GLAD this person has this plan !!!! If you arent paying for it…what is YOUR BEEF ??? You are JEALOUS cause someone has this good plan AND YOU FEEL YOU MUST TAKE IT AWAY FROM THEM CAUSE SOMEONE ELSE DOES NOT HAVE IT? HOW FAIR IS THAT? The GOAL is TO TAKE AWAY FROM THOSE WHO HAVE…..NOT PROVIDE FOR THOSE WITHOUT !!!! THEY WANT TO OWN US AND THE HEALTH CARE OF US AND OUR FAMILIES !!! I emailed my (D) senator twice to vote against the bill. Each time, he emailed me back a condesending note with nothing in it about the bill. If I didn’t live in such a liberal state (Oregon), I could be sure he was voted out of office this November! I will do my best to tell everyone about his condescention.
